Meet our August Veteran Spotlight, Anita Willingham, a dedicated U.S. Army Senior Supply Sergeant with the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC). Her service and perseverance make her a valued member of our BlazeSports community.
Since joining BlazeSports in 2017, Anita has embraced adaptive sports, including rowing, swimming, cycling, pickleball, cornhole, and wheelchair basketball with the Lady Ballers. These activities have helped her stay active while building friendships and finding a strong sense of belonging. She values being part of an organization that prioritizes veterans’ health and well-being. She is especially grateful for our veteran program team, who offer constant encouragement and support.
Beyond fitness, Anita cherishes the connections she has made with fellow veterans. BlazeSports has given her access to programs designed specifically for disabled veterans, making a lasting impact on her life. The camaraderie and confidence she has gained highlight the power of adaptive sports.
Anita, we are grateful for your service and for sharing your journey. Your strength and resilience inspire those around you. As a valued part of BlazeSports, you continue to motivate others to push their limits. We are honored to support you and celebrate your achievements. Keep striving for greatness—we are always cheering you on!
