Swimming

Coach training youth athlete on track
BlazeSports Swim programs are for youth ages 4 to 22 years old with physical disabilities who want to learn how to swim or learn to train/compete. Together our swim coaches have years of experience and will provide expert instruction along, with other BlazeSports Certified Water Safety Instructors, as your child develops in the pool.
  •  The Learn to Swim program will help your child develop confidence in the water, pool safety skills, and the basics for freestyle and backstroke.
  • The Learn to Train/Compete program builds on skill learned in the Learn to Swim program and will help your child build endurance. In this advanced group, your child will continue to master freestyle and backstroke, as well as learn how to do breaststroke, butterfly, starts, and flip turns.
No experience is required to participate in the swim program.

In addition to practice, participants interested in competition will have an opportunity to compete with the BlazeSports Swim Team in local, regional and national swim meets.

You must be a BlazeSports Athlete Member to register for this program.

“BlazeSports has given me a second chance at swimming. I still swim with my high school team and I still compete on regular swim teams, but Blaze has given me an opportunity to be with others like me. BlazeSports is accepting. They are basically a second family. “
