John Harvey is our Youth Athlete Spotlight for December! John has been an incredible member of BlazeSports for six years, and over the course of his time with us, he has demonstrated immense dedication and passion, particularly in our Wheelchair Basketball program. From his very first practice to his most recent tournament, John has consistently worked hard to improve his skills, showing great sportsmanship and a positive attitude both on and off the court.
One of John’s most cherished memories with BlazeSports is when he scored his first basket at a tournament. This moment not only marked a personal milestone but also highlighted his growth and determination as an athlete. It was a reflection of the hard work he puts in, as well as the supportive community BlazeSports provides.
While basketball is a major part of John’s life, he also enjoys horseback riding and has a deep passion for science. John’s interests extend beyond sports, and he continues to explore his academic and extracurricular passions with the same enthusiasm.
Looking ahead, John has big dreams for the future. He would love to continue playing wheelchair basketball in college, and he’s considering pursuing this goal at the University of Alabama, where his grandparents attended.
