BlazeSports America, a nonprofit organization founded after the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games, announces the final call for speakers for their upcoming ParaSport Conference.
The National ParaSport Conference, which will take place outside of Atlanta from October 14-15, will focus on bringing together industry leaders in parasport from across the country. The deadline for session submissions is Thursday, July 15, according to a media release.
“As the world returns to normal, we are beyond excited to host our annual BlazeSports National ParaSport Conference in person this year. Our conference focuses on building core competencies in adaptive sports and recreation and we are looking for speakers who can provide unique industry expertise on a variety of subjects within the realm of adaptive sports.”
— Dawn Churi, Executive Director of BlazeSports
The conference will follow the theme of Coming Together – Moving Forward to focus on how the industry can continue to grow and improve the community for both providers and athletes. Pre-conference certification will start on October 13 and will feature two new certifications, an Adaptive Rowing Coach Certification and a Certified Adaptive Sports Coach. Both certifications are the first of their kind.
