Blaze Day in the Community

A Blaze Day is an inclusive event where people of all abilities experience Paralympic and adaptive sports, often for the first time. These events introduce adaptive sports and highlight their life-changing impact. Participants discover that, with the right adaptations, everyone can enjoy sports.

Blaze Days break barriers and challenge perceptions about disability in athletics. Attendees try sports like wheelchair basketball and tennis using specialized equipment, and they learn about the history of adaptive sports and opportunities for continued participation.

Blaze Days can take place in schools, corporate offices, sporting events, and other community settings, bringing inclusive sport experiences directly to diverse audiences. These events create a welcoming space for people with disabilities, their families, and the broader community. These days are celebrations of teamwork, perseverance, and the power of inclusive sport.
