Wheelchair Tennis (Fall 2024)

BlazeSports is excited to kick off our Fall season of wheelchair tennis and solidify this classic adaptive sport in our youth program roster. The BlazeSports Wheelchair Tennis Program is open for athletes of all skill levels, recreational or competitive. Our coaches have years of experience with wheelchair tennis and will work with our athletes to develop their skills such as: chair maneuvering, swing technique, rules, positioning, and more. This season the BlazeSports Tennis Team will have the opportunity to participate in USTA Junior Division Tournaments as well as observe elite levels of adult league play.

Athlete eligibility: Ages 6 – 22 years old. Primary diagnosis as a physical disability including but not limited to: Spinal Cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Amputation, Limb Difference, Visual Impairment, Dwarfism, Traumatic Brain Injury, etc.

BlazeSports has an equipment loan program for our youth members, if your athlete needs a sportschair or tennis racquet or if you have any questions please email nedwards@blazesports.org.
