BlazeSports Active for Life Toolkit
The BlazeSports Toolkit is generously supported by grants from The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation. This innovative and one-of-a-kind product consists of a how-to guide, a toolbox and BlazeSports activity cards to develop a disability sport program or enhance an existing one.
Toolkit Goals:
1) Improve the capacity of local service providers,
2)
Increase access and opportunities to sport and physical activity for individuals with physical disability at the local level.
3) Improve quality of life of youth and adults with physical disability.
4) Create more inclusive communities.

How-to-guide

The comprehensive how-to guide provides background information and practical information on the building blocks of sport and recreation programs and the nuts and bolts of starting and sustaining a sport and recreation program for individuals with physical disability
The Toolbox

The toolbox contains myriad supporting materials referenced in the Active for Life Guide and a series of CD’s that include videos and manuals, developed by BlazeSports, on a variety of disability sports and related information to local program development.
The Activity Cards

The Active for Life Activity Cards are hands-on illustrated activity cards in the sports of wheelchair tennis, boccia, and wheelchair basketball. The Activity Cards compliment other suggested programmatic activities discussed in the Guide. These activity cards are ready-to use in programs and provide step-by-step instruction for various sport drills.
